Looking InThe Mirror

When I was a young Christian I read the scriptures and studied to discover doctrial truths and to form opnions based on my study. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge on the different doctrines that I studied. I wanted to know if the Baptists were right about eternal security or if the Armeanians were right and you could lose your salvation if you backslide.  I studied the Rapture doctrines, the doctrine of Baptisms and every other thing I thought was important to know. When I began to hear the Lord speak I discovered almost all the knowledge and teaching I had gained was really not true at all. I just decided after studying which one I thought was right.

I discoved that the proper way to look at scriptures was to see them as a mirrow. The scriptures are a reflection of our own life. They are a road map to lead you from a carnal natural man to a spiritual man. For instance, Cain represents the flesh and Able represents the spirit. Issac represents your spiritual man and Ishmael represents your carnal man. As I stated before, when you begin to realize that Jesus represents your true nature and character and you read the scriptures as a mirror you will be transformed into his image from glory to glory as you seek him and meditate on his words and life.

What you know intellectually is good but it is much better is to experience the scriptures. Intellectual knowledge only is what makes you feel only your way is the right way. If you rely on a man’s teaching then to you only what he says is true. So let us all with an open heart turn to the Lord and have the veils of the flesh removed so that we can experience the lovliness of our being begin to shine with the glorious light of Christ.

We are God’s Christ in this earth, created with Image and dominion. The first man Adam was given dominion over the earth and everything in it. That has never changed. We bear the image and have dominion. Man was created with Image and dominion and since being lowered into the flesh man has been trying to create God is his (man’s) image. Carnal religious man operates from the knowledge of good and evil and has been taught that God is also good and evil which is a lie. God is Life, Light and Love. Nothing of evil proceeds from God. Life, Light and Love does not do evil. It does not punish but corrects. The following from the book of Corinthians reveals God’s true nature and yours.

1 Cor 13:4-8 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. 5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. 6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. 7 Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. 8 Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end] AMP

God is blamed for all the evil in the world when the fact is; it is man who is responsible for all of it. People say why does God allow things like starving children and rape and all the evil in the world? All the evil comes out of the heart of man not from God. Once our eyes are opened to the truth of our being we experience Life, Light and Love and no longer live by the knowledge of good and evil.

These writings have been based on what I call “The New Testament Priesthood.” We know according to scripture we all have been called to the priesthood. To be a priest one does not have to go to bible school or gain a lot of religious information. To be a Priest is simply to live in the conscious awareness of God’s presence. As you become more consciously aware of God’s presence you bare the image and carry the authority.

The Old Testament priest carried the ark on his shoulders. We know the ark represented Christ. The ark was wood overlaid with gold. Wood represented man and gold represented divinity. Today we are the ark, humanity mingled with divinity carrying God’s presence.

The reality is Jesus Christ is in you, and as you enter that reality, not as a doctrine, and not as an intellectual understanding, but you enter that in reality, you then become a carrier of the presence of God.  And just as the Priest carried the Ark of the Covenant, today you carry Christ within the Temple.
